Sarah Spencer is a lecturer and speech and language therapist at the department for Human Communication Sciences, University of Sheffield, UK.

Sarah worked with colleagues to design, develop and evaluate a short course for 12 to 14 year olds to learn words that will be useful across the curriculum in schools. Sarah, Judy Clegg, Joy Stackhouse and Hilary Lowe (now at City University, London) all worked on this project.
